Seán had been a close friend of The Dubliners for many years and appeared with them as a guest artist on a number of occasions before accepting an invitation to join them in 1982. Sean brought to the band a voice of clarity and passion. His extensive knowledge of languages and travel also brought hilarious stores and anecdotes into their concerts. He speaks seven languages including his native Gaelic. Sean brings to life this ancient language with some wonderful renditions of songs from the past. Despite his busy schedule with The Dublin Legends (formally The Dubliners) Sean still finds time to perform in his own right with musicians he has an affinity with.
